Moments of Tender
In May 2020, my friends and I escaped to Santa Cruz for a moment to breathe in fresh air and experience a shift in environment. This project, however, extends beyond the physical journey. It reflects the deeper emotional landscape of queer existence, where tenderness is both a radical act and a form of survival.
For queer chosen families, these tender moments become essential. They serve as spaces of affirmation, where intimacy is not only cherished but necessary. In a world that can feel harsh and unwelcoming, these small, quiet moments of connection are where love and care reside.
As queer people, we create quiet, intimate spaces for one another, spaces where vulnerability and love flourish, even in the midst of a global crisis.
Queerness is soft. Queerness is tender.
